Okay, I'm curious to know what about you is completely different from everyone around you. Be creative and share! I'll share one of mine....

Salt burns off my taste buds. If I eat chips or something salty, I'm screwed. I ate a handful of Munchies a few years ago and every single one of my taste buds were gone! No lie. By the way, did you know that your tongue is actually purple underneath? Freaked out hubby and his friend and family with it, lol. I've never met anyone who has the same problem.

wow Ista. I feel for you , I would hate not having my salt , I salt everything and with alot of it. I know I will have to cut that out for health issues someday but it is sooo good.

I really dont think there is something totally diff about me than anyone else. I guess I am not unique....Sad

If I come up with something I will let you know.

It can suck, but I'm used to it. I can't eat reg potato chips due to salt. I get everything unsalted. My family is salt-aholics. My grandmother couldn't eat salt due to her diet (health). So, that was the only place growing up where I never had to worry about the food. Hubby came into our relationship eating TONS of salt. Now he gets his fries without salt and rarely salts anything. I love it. Very Happy

While it can be frustrating at times, it's taught me how to cook with tons of wonderful herbs. My hubby prefers my cooking to any restaurant's. Plus, food is better for you without all that salt. Very Happy

Oh, that must be tough not being able to eat salt Sad

My unique thing (at least for anyone I know or have ever met) is that I have sarcoidosis. It an autoimmune disease that causes my immune system to attack my own body, organs, tissue, etc. I've had it for 5 yrs. and have never met anyone else who has it also.

That's awful- you poor thing! I used to talk to a women in California whose body suddenly decided her liver was a foreign body. Her life has pretty much been a mess ever since.

Oh man. That is horrendous! Both of them! My mom had her immune system suppressed for a couple of years due to a HUGE misdiagnosis. I was always afraid I was going to have some kind of illness on me when I gave her a hug and a kiss.

Wow guys, sorry to hear all of that; that is some serious and bad stuff. Ista you and I would do well together, I am not supposed to have much salt due to Hypertension. Other than that, one rareity I have is an allergy to catepillars. I have never met another person who had that. It seems some of them produce a chemical to keep birds away and it is that chemical that I am allergic to. Just my luck...LOL

Oh that is funny. I admit, I've never heard of anyone being allergic to catapillars, lol. My mom is allergic to cold. No lie. She swells up and it can stop her breathing if her lungs get cold (they shut down).

Yeah, imagine my poor parents as I was very little and always playing with them like any other child. They had to keep prescription medication on hand at all times. Sad really! LOL

Now I freak out when a catepillar gets close to me. I think they are cute, but I can't even touch an area they have just been on, I will still break out with contact allergy; it's awful what my body does if I do. My bf is good for that though, he will remove any caterpillars I see around the house, he just puts them somewhere else on someone else's property - trees or plants and I just make sure to avoid the area they were for a day.

I feel for her. I really do. I have psoriasis. I get it from my dad's side of the family. He doesn't have it, but I think his evil mother did. I got mine when I was about 11 or 12. Great way to build confidence when you're a teen, let me tell ya! My husband is the only person I let touch my head period. I'm so self concious about it. Also, I spaz when I have to wear a dark color. I have it mild on my skin, but the more stressed I am, the worse it gets. Which of course stresses me out and makes it worse. Horrible cycle. So, I really feel for your daughter. I can understand how hard it is to deal with something that as a teen. I'm still trying to deal with it as an adult and was very lucky to find a man who doesn't even see my psoriasis. He only sees me.

Oh wow. Poor thing. However, it will make her stronger as a person. It'll help to teach her not to judge people so quickly by their appearances, which is one thing that a lot of people forget nowadays. I feel for her, but I pray that she outgrows it.
