| Do you guys believe there are spirits (ghosts) among us?
If you do believe...
Do you ever have 'experiences'?
Can you ever see them?
Do you think they are good and/ or bad?
How does this interpret into your religion?
If you don't believe...
Do you think people who say they do are lying?
Why do you not believe?
Were you raised to not believe?
How do you handle those around you who believe?

| Do you guys believe there are spirits (ghosts) among us?
I no longer believe in this sort of thing, but it used to be one of my favorite subjects.
Do you ever have 'experiences'? No. When I stopped viewing everything with what I've come to refer to as "ghost eyes", I stopped having "experiences". You can convince yourself that a lot of things are "ghostly" or paranormal, when you're hoping to see something like that.
Can you ever see them? No.
Do you think they are good and/ or bad? When I was into this sort of thing, I wanted to believe that any "ghosts" that may be around me were probably my own family (good), but the prospect that they might be a stranger terrified me (bad).
How does this interpret into your religion? When I considered myself a Christian, I struggled with the idea of ghosts; since the idea seems to be that there is only a heaven & hell and no "in-between" state. Now that I am an atheist, both concepts (ghosts and religion) seem absurd to me.
Do you think people who say they do are lying? No. I think they believe that they saw something. I think people can convince themselves of a lot of things, especially in times of grieving (which I truly believe never ends). If you are looking for a sign, any sign will do.
Why do you not believe? Too many reasons to mention here, but I still find the concept of ghosts and the paranormal intriguing.
Were you raised to not believe? No. I was raised to believe in ghosts and just about everything else.
How do you handle those around you who believe? It depends on who it is. I'm usually genuinely interested in what people have to say, but at times I do ask critical questions, and I'm pretty quick to point out inconsistencies in the story.

| How come, whenever we are presented with a spiritual manifestation, they are wearing cloths? How do they even pick what outfit they want to wear in the hereafter? Tell you one thing for sure - if I ever become a ghost, I am not going around wearing the same pair of pants for eternity. | |

| Omg Ur Funny but i never thought of that . I guess i do and i don't believe. If that makes any sense. I do believe that there are our loved ones that watch ova us. But i personally don't think that they come 2 and walk amoung us. I am not sure sure if the people who say that they have seen ghost r lying or not. I can only tell if people r lying if its a person that i know and i know how 2 read them. I guess i don't believe because i've never had my own experience. I I was not rasied 2 believe in ghosts. I am not sure if they can bee seen | |

| I'm still not sure what I think about this. But I have definitely had a few occasions when I don't know what was going on.(and no, I wasn't drinking) And my brother, who is an ordained minister, once had something to happen, and he still won't talk about it very much. Sooo, I don't know what to think. I'm just hoping if it is ghost, that they are friendly ones. | |

| I really leave myself open to all possibilites. Reason being that there is so much more to us and life in whole that there is no way we could really know all that is. That is not to say that those who believe are wrong or those who don't believe are wrong either. I think it comes down to what you are comfortable with believing in within each persons self. I have my own theories and reasonings, but that does not make others wrong or right nor mine. I personally feel that there is too much out there in the vastness of the universe to totally discredit the fact that there are other life forms, be it in what we percieve as spiritual or physical, and on different levels. Not all things that happen here can be explained and eludes most with it's mystery. Kinda like the joke Orson Wells played with the War of the Worlds that ended in catastrophy.......some people can not handle the ideation or notion and it is better off for some to not even try to concieve it in their minds. I am not stating that all people who claim to have "seen" things are legit, but I do know strange things do happen that can not be explained. Ahhhh, the mysteries of life. | |

| I have to say yes, I do believe there are spirits. I agree with Dream- there are too many strange things that happen that cannot be explained. I wasn't raised to believe or not to believe, somthing that didn't come up I guess. I do believe though there are spirits or beings that are still here, somehow they have stayed. Maybe it's cuz it's the only explaination I have for something strange that happened years ago. My oldest son, at the time was only about a year old and he was spending a weekend with my mother who lived a couple hours away from us. We had a picture of him on the wall, hung securly, no wind in the house and that picture swung back and forth then came right off the wall, fell to the floor. I did see this with my own eyes- no explaination for it but it did happen. I got upset and worried so I called my mother to make sure my son was ok- something told me he was hurt when I saw that picture fall like that. I called almost right after it happened and my mother told me he had fallen, bumped his head, cut his leg. He was not seriously hurt but I did hear him crying in the background. She said he had just fallen a few minutes before I called. It was like someone was letting me know he was hurt and I needed to call. I talked to him so he could hear my voice- think it made me feel better than him but he did stop crying. We picked him up the next day and he was ok. But it was something that I never could explain- a spirt? guardian angel? mother's intuition? It was something though. The one other thing about that picture falling like that- the glass did not break, frame was not bent. It goes back before that though for me in believe in things we cannot see. I never allowed my boys to have a OUJIA board no matter how much they wanted one- not in my home. I do think they somehow do connect to spirits and not in a good way- - not everyone agrees with me and that is fine. I think that yes some spirits are not good but I do not think they can hurt a person. Life is full of mysteries, surprises, strange things and it is wonderful that people are able to believe differently. | |

| Do you guys believe there are spirits (ghosts) among us? Yes. At the age of 5 years old, I saw my guardian angel and my father's. Since then I've lots of 'experiences' and have proved to many non-believers that there are spirits among us. Also, people who become close to me tend to have experiences just by having me in their lives (hubby was terrified of our first apt together... SIL has had numerous encounters since we lived together.. ect).
If you do believe...
Do you ever have 'experiences'? Yes... however the older I've gotten the more they type of experiences change. As I've grown older, my mind has closed more due to reality.. it's not as open as when I was an innocent child.
Can you ever see them? I did when I was a child and a teen. Now the 'game' has changed and I experience them in other ways.
Do you think they are good and/ or bad? Both. As there are good and bad people, obviously there are good and bad spirits.
How does this interpret into your religion? Mine and my husband's beliefs don't fall along the lines of anyone we know. So, they fit in well. However, we don't share these with my family because they are die hard christians and the bible says that anyone who sees or talks to spirits (ect) are evil (or witches) and going to hell.
If you don't believe...
Do you think people who say they do are lying? Some yes... a lot.. no.
Why do you not believe?
Were you raised to not believe? I was raised to believe there are spirits but obviously there aren't. lol Makes no sense to me either.
How do you handle those around you who believe? I find out if it's genuine before I say anything.

| Do you guys believe there are spirits (ghosts) among us? Yes, I do. I have had too many things happen to me, too many things I have seen come true, too many "coincedences" happen to not believe. Do you ever have 'experiences'?
Yes, but like Ista, not like when I was smaller. They do seem to be different now, and not as often. But, they do still happen and those around me and close enough to me, they are often amazed and frightened by some of the things.
Can you ever see them?
Yes I do. Sometimes I do see "aspirations", other times it is like a 2 sec video clip showing me things that do happen anywhere from a few to a few hours from the time I see it. But, let me state, with whole hearted honesty....I am in NO WAY connected to any evil or dark entity. I would never dream of being, I do not ask, it just comes to me.
Do you think they are good and/ or bad?
I believe they are good. I have been warned of many things. I have not had one to show me something wrong or hurtful. It would be great if they showed you how to do life without any incidence all the way thru, but that is not how it works. I believe they are to help us, not scare or frighten us. I also find it odd that it tends to run in families. Meaning that when there is one in a family that has experiences, there are others that fall down line that have the same and sometimes more intense. Most people will not talk about things even with other family members for fear that others will think they are "Off Their Rocker." It is usually kept secret and hidden within ones self. That is sad. How does this interpret into your religion?
Well lets see, First of all, growing up I have been to many churches of faiths and beliefs. There are parts of all that I can agree with, and on the flip side, there are things I do not agree with in all religions. Does this make me evil or vial, NO. It just simply means that I can see all sides of all religions. ie.....catholics wash their attire and self clean with holly water before entering the Church and also bow to a construction of an "illusion" of Christ hanging on the cross and I feel this shows great respect to our savior and God (I am sorry if I offended anyone with the before mentioned, I am stating what I believe). But on the flip side, I do not believe you can pray to a saint for forgiveness. I also do not believe that God or the Afterworld is as hateful as a lot of our religions try to teach us. I believe they are loving and want to help us, we just need not be so hard headed not to listen, head and learn. I believe in what goes around comes around, I believe in light, life and love, I believe all things happen for a reason whether we see it or not. I believe there is more to our existence then merely being on this planet. Maybe I am right, Maybe I am wrong, but in the end I will know I lived my life being the best person I could be.
