I think the best job for me was working at Publix, its a great company. Not to sure on how
rewarding or educational it was. I need to think about that one.

the best paying and most fun job was Harris Publishing , I did editing and sales , Made GREAT money and had the best boss ever.

The most educational was Managing a Burger King. It was alot of long hours and hard work but learning all the aspects of running a buisness was highley educational and rewarding.

The most edcational I guess would be Manager of a Casey's General Store- I learned so much doing the bookwork, ordering and everything else that goes with it. I liked working the cash regiser too and talking to all the customers.
I had more fun bartending and hostessing though- again it was the people I enjoyed dealing with. But being a hostess kept me on my toes- making sure tables were ready, that nobody was kept waiting, the tables were rotated fairly among the wait staff - there is more to hostessing than just greeting people I found out.

The best job I have ever had is being a mom. It is the most rewarding and most educational. You learn so much from them and by them being in your life. You actually end up learning things you have forgotten over time from school by helping them with their homework and such. You also end up learning quite a few medical things throughout their childhood.

Other than that, I would have to say it is being a Nurse. Making your patients smile, helping them through their illness to feeling better. Being there for the family. Educating them on their needs, signs and symptoms, their meds and so on.

AHHHH Parenting. Now thats a good one. We do learn so much with the little ones and the truth is no matter how mucholder they and ourselves get we still learn something from them.

Mine would be when I worked for DDMS. I worked with the disabled in their homes. I get bored silly on most jobs, so this was great. I was able to work with someone (or a few clients) that needed my help and compassion as well as having time to educate myself on whatever I chose (reading, studying). I also learned a lot of medical stuff and bookworking that has helped me through the years with other jobs. However, this job has taught me how to empathize with others and place myself in their shoes. It's helped so much with every day life. Very Happy

Have you ever thought of going back Ista? Sounds like a great way to give back. Sounds like it was very rewarding.

I'd gotten burned out since I'd been working with the disabled in one way or another since 7th grade. However, now that I'm ready to do it again... there's not a place in this town where I can. There's only one company here that does this type of thing and we don't see eye to eye. When (IF) I move back up north, I'm getting back into this line of work. Very Happy

Ista that job sounds great -- and sounds like you were very good at it! Is there a school there that might need help with special needs kids? They have that here and it's very small school. Just a thought that might help. Or could you do it on your own? Not through that company? I'm not sure on laws about that stuff- but could you advertise maybe and find someone who could use your talents and caring self?

Laws could be sticky. Who knows they often vary state to state but I wish ya luck Ista.
In 2 days I am going to an interview for grocery store manager , new chain opening here so I have my fingers crossed to get it. The pay they are offering to start out is EXCELLENT!!!
