| I'm heading to NY on Wed-Sun for an all-female Leadership Institute. I'm pretty psyched! It's my first time in NY. They were so gracious enough to give me a large scholarship to attend. However I am still raising a lot of money to pay for the rest.
So I have midterms directly after that, and you guys might not see me until Fall Break!!

| I took a family trip today, maybe round trip it was over 50 miles, but not one way. Anyway, it was to the Manzano Mountains to see the leaves changing colors and pick piñons. In two weekends we'll do the same thing in the Sandía Mountains. | |

| Our last trip to see my kids and my bf mom- both live about 70 miles from us. Going to see any family includes a drive along a river- to see my kids we drive the River Road next to the Mississippi- really pretty in the fall. The last long trip was last year to Chicago area to see family. | |

| I'm all packed (90% anyway) and ready to go (on Wednesday). I have an oral presentation tomorrow and I wish I could get it over with this very second. I always sign up first to get it over with because I get SO nervous before these things!!!! When I'm actually doing it I'm fine, though. See you next week!! | |

Here's the link if you want to check out the revolutionary work I'll be doing: http://www.wegotissues.org also click on the Leadership Institute link to view more about what I'm actually doing. The video is totally inspirational on the homepage if you have time to view. I think you'll walk away feeling blessed to be a woman!

| The beginning of August my kids and I went to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA. I'm not sure how many miles, but it took us over 2 1/2 hours to get there. We had a blast and were at the park for 9 hours, open to close. The next day we went to a farm that had a ton of neat things to do. But we only played in the hay bales and took a tractor ride because it rained. But we did get free tickets to go back again since they closed early.
I am hoping to take them back to the farm sometime this month.
