Apple Pie Toast
6 slices
6 slices cinnamon-raisin bread
1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling, drained
6 slices (1 ounce each) sharp Cheddar cheese
Preheat the broiler. Place the cinnamon-raisin bread on a baking sheet and lightly toast under the broiler.
Remove from the broiler and top each bread slice with an equal amount of apple pie filling and a cheese slice.
Broil for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the filling is heated through and the cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
Can't find sliced Cheddar cheese? Slice it from a block or, even easier, just sprinkle on a cup (4 ounces) of shredded Cheddar cheese.
