thats bad there was an atricle in my paper yesterday about tomato plants getting some type of disease from all the rain we have been getting looking it up for you now..

It's called blossom end rot. I get it too. It comes from excessive rain after long periods of drought AND/OR too little calcium in the soil. add some bone meal to the soil around the plants and it should help. whatever the directions say on the bag add double. My tomato plants (40 of them) are 3ft high now and just starting to produce fruit. One way to prevent this is to add crushed egg shells (3-4 eggs) to the planting hole about an inch below the root ball.

It will probably not go away completely but you should have less fruit effected within 2-3 weeks.

Water regularly ( I water every other day during our drought) and mulch. I use grass clippings to mulch.

Yes, you can get it almost anywhere. It's just ground up cows bones.

ok got the bone meal and did that, but the guy tried to sale me blood meal I said NO I was told bone mean so he sai whatever here it is. LOL

Yup, I can. Last year I did 6 bushels. About 100 quarts. blood meal is a high nitrogen fertilizer if you used that on your tomato plants you would end up with large green plants with little fruit on it.

Blue do you make spaghetti sauce with your tomatoes? Or do you just dice them?

just diced last year. did some spaghetti sauce a few years ago along with chili mix.
