I Now Detest Walgreens...

which is really a shame as I use to love my local Wags and shopped there at least once a week. Haven't been in there since they did away with their Easy Saver book program and they haven't had any great deals lately anyway.

Well I went in their today as I had cashed in some of my Mypoints for a Walgreens gc. Won't be doing that anymore...I'll be redeeming a few extra points for gc's for Walmart. Anyhow, its not like the same store anymore...I was shocked. All the employees are new down to the manager. So I get all the stuff I was going to buy and go to the check out where I proceed to do two separate transactions....I didn't hold up the line or anything as there was no one behind me. Anyway, the first tranaction was for two bottle of All laundry detergent. It was 2/$10 with a $3.00 register reward. So I used the gc and gave him 60 cents for the tax and he handed me my register reward. Now I start putting up the stuff to ring up for the second transaction...I also was going to use some coupons along with my $3 rr. He gets everything rung up, I hand him the q's and rr and he proceeds to tell me that I can't use the rr....ummm...what? He then turns into a huge prick and tells me that the rr clearly states it is to be used for my next purchase at the store....well, asshole, what do you think I'm doing...I did two transactions...now, let me interrupt myself to say, I've always done this and have never had a problem. Things are now starting to get rather shitty and I had a big time attitude. It ended up where I had to walk out of the store and then walk back in to be able to use the damn thing...and then he tells me that this time he will allow me to do that but next time I'll have to come back another day in order to use a register reward. Well mo fo...I won't be getting anymore register rewards to use as Wags just lost my business. Hopefully I will have calmed down by Monday morning when I call customer service...biggest bunch of shit that I've ever heard and I plan on letting them know as a result CVS and Walmart just got even more of my business than they have already. Argggg

You know, every time I hear about someone getting a hassle from trying to use a coupon or something, it's always at Walgreens... I don't know what their problem is, but they always act like you're trying to rip them off.

OMG! I'd have been fuming and that guy would have been at the recieving end of my fury too. Those things only say "next purchase" they do not say the next time you come into the store or on your next visit to the store. Sad that Walgreen's has to be that way. But is their loss and I bet more people will stop shopping there if they have problems like you had.
I've never had a problem at our Walgreen's. . . . not yet anyway.
