Sometimes I Should Just Shut Up And Say Thank You...

As some of you know I was involved in a really bad motorcycle accident awhile back. While I have pretty much fully recovered it did leave some scars. On my right check there is a noticable discoloration spot from one of the patches of road rash. And there is a nasty scar on the right side of my nose near the corner of my eye...I am always aware of it and makeup does little to cover it. I laugh about my crooked nose giving me a distinguished look but I am really self conscious about the scar.

Anyway, hubby was sent to Walgreens yesterday with a list and coupons...he came home with something not on the list. Well we all know how cheap/frugal I am...I had a cow. Now I should mention what he bought...apparently there is a fairly new product on the market for scars...the claim is that it will reduce even existing scars...I personally don't think it will work...kind of like stretch marks...once you've got them, they are yours for life. Anyway, instead of being grateful and appreciative that he tried to do something nice...I had to run my big mouth about money and told him to take it back. He got pissed and tore the box that it came in and threw away the receipt. At least he had the sense to buy Walgreen's brand of the stuff which was half the price of the name brand product. I'll gladly eat my words if this shit does indeed work.

Well I am sorry to hear you guys had a fight... But the fact that he was thinking of you is kinda sweet. Maybe he knows your are self conscious about the scar and just wanted to help. My hubby doesnt do that LOL ... My mil used this cream called mederma its really expensive and she used it for her scar on her throat from when she had her thyroid removed it worked in time its not that noticeable anymore .. So it may work..

Oh wow Alias! That looks like it was quite an accident. I am glad you have mostly recovered. Although in the pictures I could not see any scars, I'm sure they stick out like a sore thumb to you.

If this product is similar to Mederma, I have heard only good things about it.

I can understand you being upset for him spending the money, especially on something for yourself. (If you are like me, you are always last to get anything u need). But I am sure if you apologized, he has already forgotten about it!
