Just got off the phone with a niece

ok so I am kind hot right now, you guys tell me what you think.

She has the ass of a boyfriend who wants to control everything, who she calls, talks too, her facebook and even when she goes online. This is what I told her.

There are so many women right now that has husbands like that, so if he is like that now as a boyfriend he will be like that as a husband. I even told her its time to show his ass the door. tell him goodbye and hope to never see you again.
Then I hear of but I love him. All I can do is shake my head, I guess some people have to have someone else think and act for them.

Take a deep breath, hun. I don't mean to sound cold and heartless, but sometimes people just have to learn the hard way. I am also assuming, that she is young...remember when we were that age...at least personally for me, I thought I knew it all.

All you can do is what you have already done, which is share your wisdom and love...it is now up to her to take/act upon it. If and when she does, she will know that you are there for her. In the meantime, say a prayer for her and be ready to open her with welcome arms when the time comes.

I understand what you are going thru Donna! I feel the same way with my niece, but like Alias said you do have to think back to when you were that age. I know I didn't want to hear what anyone had to say especially about my boyfriend.

It's really hard for us to sit back and watch someone we love ruin their life, but I guess all we can do is be there for them when they need us.

Still want to choke her though! I think we all might have been that way one time or another with the "Oh but I love him", but not sure if I ever let one run me like that. I think thats sometimes its hard not to say anything when they call you up and tell you whats going on, ya maybe sometimes one may only need someone to rant to.

Oh sure we still have to tell them what we think!1 But I guess we just need to know it's not going to make a difference! Luckily for me it's not that bad with her, I truly hope that it never turns into that!
