BIRD COOKIES
What you need:
1 cup softened unsalted butter
3 beaten eggs
3 ½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
Mixed birdseed
• Stir flour, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
• Add butter and eggs. Mix until blended.
• Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut different shapes with cookie cutters.
• Make a hole in the top of each cookie with a drinking straw.
• Press birdseed into each side of the cookies and place them of a cookie sheet.
• Ask an adult to help you bake the Bird Cookies in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
• When Bird Cookies are cool, tie a ribbon or string through the hole and hang on a tree limb.
Make another great bird treat by covering a pine cone in peanut butter and rolling it in birdseed. Tie a string around the pine cone and hang it outside on a tree branch
