No Cost Seed Labels for the Garden
When planting seeds in pots in preparation for gardening season, you can make stick-in-the-soil markers for no cost. You will need gallon or half gallon plastic milk jugs, and a heavy shears or scissors to cut them.
Cut 5 or 6 inch long skinny 3/4 inch wide strips of the opaque plastic. With a "Sharpie" marker, write the name of the plant along the upper half, and poke one end into the soil along the side of the pot.
