| When I was a kid we heard rumors of these 2 often. It was on TV , In magazine , we even heard the adults talk about it. These 2 characters have gained and lost and gained again popularity threw the years since 1930's or earlier. There was also a snowman of some kind but I cant remember the name. If any of you know please tell me. What stories of strange do you remember? Do you have simular stories , or believe in this stuff? Have you seen one of these guys? Well here is one of the first photo's of good ole' Nessie. To me it appears to be a human arm sticking out of the water making and animal shape , simular to how we do when playing shadow games on the walls. and good Ole' Big Foot , now who wouldnt want this guy around? In everyone of his pictures he seems to be a pretty pissed off guy. Real or not I wouldn't want to bump into him! | |

| Here you go Fancy. I remember all of these myself, and hate to admit it, but I actually kind of keep up with the stories of them. I have always been fascinated by them. Here is the link to a story of the "snowman", lol. We were always told he was the Abominal Snowman. This is just one of many stories you will find if you do a search:

| Is all goes in line with things like the Moth Man prophecies (which like the rest listed is believed to be real by some). And just the other day, I seen on TV where they claim there is still a species of bird living that is 8 feet tall with a wing span of anywhere between 25-40 feet. Skeptics are still trying to disclaim it. But these birds supposedly have eaten small humans....babies and toddlers. One account was a 10 year old boy that the bird tried to get by his shirt and was lifting him about a foot off the ground and he weighed 60 lbs at the time. That was in the 1970's and I want to say in Illinois. | |

| Here is a link for more info on the Mothman:
http://www.mothmanmuseum.com/MothmanLives/mothmanhistory/mothmanhistorymain.html
And here is one link on the Large bird attack - It is called "thunderbird" and has been pictured throughout Indian drawings and such. There have been many sightings of these extrodinarily large birds of the years. So if you search more, you will find more info:

| These stories are so fun - who hasn't lived somewhere near a woods at some point in their life and the stories of big foot being seen in those woods? I haven't heard of Mothman or the "thunderbird" tho. But I think ya just never know, they could all be out there somewhere hiding and living, just keeping to themselves. There's a show on sci-fi called Destination Truth - they go looking for this kind of creature. It they get stories about big foot or a yedi being sighted they go try to find them. Have to admit, I watch and like the show. | |

| that is some interesting stuff. I used to read that little paper magazine that had all kinds of unbelieveable things in it , I think it was the SUN? I think that paper magazine is still produced and you can find it at check out at the grocery store. But seriously as much as I love to read about the sci-fi stuff I dont think I would actually like to cross paths with any of these mythical beings. | |

| Aw, come on, Fancy. You're strolling thru the woods on a nice lovely hike and all of a sudden you see Big Foot. He decides he wants your picnic lunch. You offer it to him and while he eats, you sit and gossip and brush his hair.
What's so bad about that?

| Yes, I like the moovie Jeepers Creepers. But the Moth Man is not that. They did have a mvie on him called the Moth Man Prophecies though. People in Illinois still believe in it to this day and many swear to have seen him. I guess he only comes when something catastrophic is about to happen...Kinda like a fore warning. | |
