Yesterday I was bringing my truck to the shop for a water pump when it started to backfire and stall. I tried to start it and it kept backfiring I got out and opened the hood and saw antifreez pouring out all over. Then someone said "Your truck is on fire" sure enough the rubber hangers for the muffler were on fire. (blew holes in the muffler)
My friend Steve was there and ran over to the feedmill across the street to get a fire extinguisher, then a fireman stopped and saw the antifreez so he called the fire dept. a few minutes later and the truck pulls up siren on. I walked across the street to the garage to see if they had a strap so we could tow it over there, while I was inside I saw my truck go by the window being pushed by 5 firemen.
Now i'm waiting to hear from the garage to see what all is wrong with it and how much it will cost to fix it
(One day later)
Well they got it all fixed in 1 day at a cost of $965
On the other hand it feels like a new truck
